The May Outfits Series – Part 4

It’s been a long day and your girl is tired – but your girl also wants to stick to her word. So, as promised, here is the last week (and two days) of May outfits…

Sunday to Monday (23/05/2022): Oysho dress / ASOS hat / & Other Stories bag / Primark shoes

Am I cheating with this one? Kinda, but not really. I wore this on Sunday in Washington D.C. – but I also flew in this outfit and got back to London on Monday in this outfit. OK, maybe I didn’t wear this hat on the plane, and I did get changed when I got home – but this outfit is so cute it deserved another moment. And hey, I wore it for almost half of Monday in London.

Tuesday (24/05/2022): H&M shirt (seen here) and top / Zara trousers (seen here) / & Other Stories bag / Stradivarius shoes

You girl did not really take a holiday from her holiday – I went into the office the next day and then went to see Chelsea in Bloom after work. I don’t think I actually wore these trousers with Chelsea in Bloom in mind initially, but I probably wouldn’t say it was a happy coincidence either…

Wednesday (25/05/2022): Wednesday’s Girl dress / Primark slippers

Wednesday was a peaceful working from home day and I was happy to stay 100% in my comfort zone with this Wednesday’s Girl dress yet again. If it ain’t broke…

Thursday (26/05/2022): ASOS suit / Topshop racer vest / H&M bag / Hobbs shoes

I would have loved to give this suit of dreams a ‘proper’ background, but ultimately decided not to bug anyone and simply take this picture after work. Cool outfit and not a bad pose though, am I right?

Friday (27/05/2022): Labelrail x Pose and Repeat shirt and skirt / Mango bag / ASOS earrings and shoes

A few weeks ago I wore this shirt with a pair of lilac trousers, and really felt like it deserved a proper #ootd pic. I obviously still plan to repeat that outfit, but on Friday I went a little risqué and teamed it with this lilac mini instead. I also switched up the shoes and bag, but the sentiment of the outfit is very much the same. Anyway, I love this outfit so much that you’re getting a little collage of it – it might even get its own post too.

Saturday (28/05/2022): Stradivarius jacket / Altar’d State dress / Lulu Guinness bag / Primark shoes

I probably should have taken off the jacket to show off this dress (a cute little find in the US, actually) in all its glory, but alas it was cold and my friend and I were waiting for an Uber. But hopefully it’ll get its time to shine soon.

Sunday (29/05/2022): Reformation dress / Loewe bag / Missoma necklace / Monica Vinader hoops / Primark shoes

I’ll admit that this (*gasp*) Reformation dress looks pretty good in this picture – but I have *thoughts* on it. Lots of thoughts. So let’s just say to be continued, because your girl has some ranting to do…

Monday (30/05/2022): Saturday by Megan Ellaby top / Silvian Heach trench coat / & Other Stories shorts / Lulu Guinness bag / Vans shoes

Yep, that’s a jersey turtleneck top. Yep, that was worn on the 30th of May. And that’s a reasonably warm trench too. Because yesterday was COLD. And that, my friends, is the “beauty” (I’m using that term loosely) of London weather – one day it’ll feel like summer, the next day it’ll feel like a mild winter day.

Tuesday (31/05/2022): H&M matching linen-mix shirt and trousers / Primark top / Lulu Guinness bag / ASOS shoes

And this was today’s outfit – a hopeful dash of linen for what was once again a pretty chilly day. I love this outfit (minus the shoes – they are pretty instruments of torture) and look forward to wearing it on a slightly warmer day.

So there you have it – 31 outfits in 4 posts over the past 4 weeks. I’m pretty proud of myself (and eternally grateful to all my loved ones for lending a helping hand) for somehow managing to actually complete this little challenge I set myself – it goes to show I am still very committed to this little space of mine. And now, it’s time to welcome the new month. But May, weather wise you’ve been a weird one. Life wise, you’ve been great.
