Happy September peeps! I’m feeling a strange mix of emotions – I’m partly sad, partly happy, partly blissfully unaware that summer has essentially come to an end. Firstly, I’m sad because oh my god, talk about a blogging dry spell! I’m going to blame work, stress, a series of mini trips and a horrible cold that felt like a deathly illness for my lack of blogging, even though deep down I know have no one or nothing to blame other than yours truly… but hey, this blogger ain’t going anywhere. Which has to do with one of the reasons as to why I’m feeling pretty chuffed – my blog has had a name change and facelift! I’d been wanting to swank things up for ages and finally found the right company to do it (thank you Pipdig!) – there’s still work to do but the main change is done, which I’m so happy about.
Finally, I’m somehow still in summer mode, which is probably because the weather in London finally improved after an overall very average summer. You’ll be able to see from the pictures below that there hasn’t been a huge amount of skin on show on my part, as I’ve just been too. Damn. Cold.
And because it’s been so long since I’ve posted, I thought I might as well do what used to be one of my favourite sections on my blog, a Monday to Friday/Weekly/Monthly Edit with my most recent Instagram ootd’s. I have cheated a little bit and included the last weekend of July, when my boyfriend and I went to the peaceful seaside town of Bognor Regis to visit my friend and her restaurant…

I’ve missed blogging but at least I’ve had a lot of lovely trips the past month. As well as Bognor Regis at the end of July, I went on a family trip to Malmö, Sweden from the 11th to 14th of August and returned to the beautiful Edinburgh for its iconic Fringe Festival from the 19th to 22nd of last month. They were short but fantastic trips, I would especially love to write up something about the Scottish capital as it’s once again stolen my heart.
I can also say it’s been a summer of reckless shopping. There are so many things I want to show you, so many things I want to bang on about how much I love. Yes, it’s been a summer of too much shopping – but I really do feel like I’ve added some ‘wear forever’ pieces to my life and wardrobe. Also, are you surprised by the lack of dresses and skirt and shocking abundance of jeans and trainers? I wouldn’t say my style has changed, I’ve simply opened up to new things. At heart, I’m still a dress girl.
I can’t say look out for another post soon (nowadays it’s just too hard for me to know when I’ll get on it again) but I hope I get back into the swing of blogging, as I’ve got so many posts ready and pretty things to share. In the meantime, this little post serves as the perfect kind of summary and preview of what has been and what’s about to come! Make the most of what’s left of the summer peeps, regardless of the weather!
