When I googled what the weather would be like in my hometown in Spain before going, I did get a warning. It did say 17 to 18 degrees. It did say there would be rain. But silly me didn’t believe any of it. Silly, naive me thought it would be 17 degrees in a Spanish kind of way. And boy was I wrong. Overall, the weather was very, very much like London.

It had been a while since I’d gone for more than a week – and even though there were a few rays of sunshine here and there, it generally stayed grey and miserable throughout my whole trip. Suffice to say I did not come back with a tan.
As always, I packed as little as possible. I did “treat” myself however to bringing not one, but two pairs of shoes for a change. In an ideal world I would bring at least three pairs of shoes and three bags. Not being able to have a choice of these things is the worst thing ever, but I still can’t sacrifice comfort for style. So it was truly a luxury for me to have a choice of two shoes – my trustworthy but tired Melissa for Vivienne Westwood pumps (the peep toe on one of them is taring, it’s heartbreaking) and new H&M chatty plimsoles/loafers (not too sure how to classify them, here is a better picture of them). The wardrobe of Mum was a great source of help this time too – I borrowed this coat of hers again and her amazingly beautiful pink bird-print scarf. What a perfect windy holiday piece – I think this picture on my Instagram sums up how much it complemented my trip, which, in spite of the bad weather, was a great trip nevertheless.
