On Monday I was working, on Tuesday I was travelling, and on Wednesday I found myself in a stunning hotel in Dubai attending one of my best friends’ wedding. It was a short but sweet trip – on Saturday my friend and I had a six-hour stopover in Vienna before heading back to London. We managed to spend a few hours in the city and even though I’d been before this stopover quickie was a great reminder of what a beautiful city Vienna is. The weather was probably similar to what we’ve been experiencing in London but because we were there in the early hours of the day it felt like winter all over again – I wouldn’t have said no to a chunky scarf and a pair of gloves!

As for Dubai, the little that I saw was incredible – I wish I could have stayed for longer and can’t wait to go back. My friend’s wedding was beautiful and deserves a post of its own. I have to admit that I felt like a princess in my Jones+Jones dress – it’s the most prom-like dress I’ve ever owned and wearing it for such a meaningful occasion in a beautiful, exotic city has made me love it even more.

I thought that returning to the British capital after being in a 30 degree climate would be depressing, but thankfully a walk in the park yesterday felt ever so blissful and left me feeling the complete opposite of post-holiday blues. It was chilly, yes, but seeing the sun shine bright in the sky always makes me happy – as well as a mint-coloured ice-cream top and good dose of greenery!
