|Clutch, Whistles (seen here, here and here).
The minute I saw this post from one of my go-to bloggers that was it – I knew I had to do it. After my Russell & Bromley bag, it’s the second most expensive bag I own, and worth every penny!
I’m no stranger to customization (everyone should have a name necklace) but I think the service that Whistles offer is brilliant. I know it’s not ground-breaking but for those of us who can’t afford Hindmarch and Vuitton, Whistles is an awesome alternative. Having said that, I can’t really afford Whistles and have spent the months of November and December scraping – how very Carrie Bradshaw of me…
The way it works is simple – you can choose up to three initials in a small selection of different sizes, colours and shapes. It’s limited for now but I kind of like the fact that it’s not overwhelming when having to make decisions about the font! You can also choose between different clutches and purses – I went for the biggest size because I knew this was something I’d want to get as much use out of as possible.
The service, which for now (as far as I’m aware) is only available in their Dover Street store in London, takes up to three weeks – you choose your bag and the style for your initials, pay for it and then patiently wait for Santa’s phone call. I got it ordered in November and picked it up in December, feeling guilty all throughout the wait – but the minute I laid eyes on it the guilt went away, what a beauty!
I was torn between the forest green version of this clutch and the black and pink version – as much of a pink lover that I am it actually was the pink shade that was putting me off. But I’m so relieved I stuck to black and pink – keeping it classic, y’all.

I think I may have found a new travel buddy – it’s not only super flat when necessary but also fits all of my basics and a little extra. Indeed, this isn’t your average little black bag – Christmas has just gone by but I’m sure you all deserve your own personalised beauty…
That’s all Folks – this is actually my last post of 2013. I’ll be back soon enough with more musings and goodies – in the meantime, cheers to a hopefully fabulous 2014!
