Chapter 55: The cream and mint dress

Dress, Primark (June Shopping list, seen here and here). Earrings, Gogo Philip (seen here). Ring, Accessorize (seen here). Pearl bracelet, gift. Other bracelet, Bershka. Shoes, Zara.

I couldn’t let this dress get lost in my Monday to Friday Edits, it deserved a post of its own. The images are self-explanatory as to why I love it so much – it’s the sheer romance of it all! As I explained in my June Shopping list, I was initially after an earlier version of this dress – the collar detailing was slightly different and the skirt was blush pink. You snooze, you loose – I spent too much time umming and ahing and that version unsurprisingly sold out, but I didn’t think twice when I came across this piece later on. I adore the fit of this dress (it really is fantastic for a shop like Primark), which would probably suit most body shapes. The design itself is ridiculously lovely – I love the nipped-in waist, the fact that it’s not a fitted piece and yet has a great shape, the way the flowing skirt (perfect length!) drops in the prettiest of ways. Not to mention the perfect shade of mint and the Peter Pan collar – now that’s what I call a perfect collar!

I couldn’t have wished for a better background either – the pictures were taken last Saturday at the place where my friend had her engagement party in Wexford, Ireland. Nothing like a bit of sunrise to complement a girlie dress! Another plus about this dress – it makes the perfect not-too-big-but-not-too-small party dress, right? Sorry guys, this has been nothing but a love letter – I couldn’t help it, this dress has really got a hold of me.
