I hate you. Actually, I love you so much that I hate you. I hate you because, despite the uninviting crowds, the in-store hurricane effect and the frightful queues, you still somehow manage to lure me in. As hard as I try to walk away, I feel your call just like a mermaid and I know – I know that once I walk in I will find things I can’t leave behind. And this is just what happened a few days ago.
This was my first find. After having developed a recent appreciation for snakeskin, it was inevitable that this blouse would catch my eye. Love everything about it – its neutral shades, lightweight fabric that isn’t actually as see-through as it looks and the longer bit at the back. It is quite a summery piece, but I intend to make it work all year round.
Secondly, this tee, as similar as it is to my Zara tee (seen here) proved to be irresistible. Such a pretty colour! The pocket! Polka dots! The silk-effect back!
And because of you, Primark, I now face a major dilemma. I’d seen a sneaky preview of the turquoise bag in Primark’s autumn/winter lookbook and couldn’t wait for it to hit the stores. I wasn’t disappointed. Not only did I find one super cute little bag – it turns out it also came in hot pink, purple and cream. Now that’s what you call putting me on the spot. You know how much I’ve been loving my greens lately. But pink will always be my colour. Even the cream one was tempting, but I draw the line at two bags in one go. Even the man at the till was appalled. And now I’m torn between these two babies. One of them should go back, it just feels wrong to keep the two. My head is telling me the pink one will be an easier match. But my heart wants the turquoise one. Or maybe both…
Forgive me Father, for I have binged. Primark made me do it.
An indecisive, (sort of) recovering shopaholic
P.S.: Green or pink?
