The Northern Diaries: A day in the life of a satchel

This is the latest addition to the bag family, it’s a he. Still haven’t got a name for him, any suggestions? I found him in Primark for a mere seven pounds, how could I not bring him home with me? I’m giving him his own post because he’s my obsession du jour, not to mention that he’s just so photogenic. See I’ve already spoiled him by taking him on a mini break to Manchester, and boy, was he kept busy…

Chilling in my friend’s garden…

Exploring on a hands-on level the intriguing and inspiring Silent Cargoes Sculpture on the Quayside Walk in Salford Quays…

Taking a – cultural, nonetheless – break in the Lowry Arts Centre’s restrooms…

Having a cosy pub meal…

And getting a taste of the city’s nightlife (Cranberry juice and whiskey, to be precise)…

You haven’t seen the last of him – he’s going to be making quite a few appearances on the blog, specifically in the next three posts, in which I will be reminiscing my weekend spent up North (the one that’s just gone by). He’ll probably steal the spotlight off me, but I forgive him because he’s so cute and he’s proved to be a great travel buddy. That’s true love for you.
