Chapter 25: The leopard print coat

I have not had a great start to the week but hey, Mondays are never really that great, right? I’m hoping that some blogging will cheer me up, so here I am showing-off my new coat from Miss Selfridge, which I purchased on Friday. I can’t believe I finally found a leopard-print coat – it wasn’t actually what I was looking for. I had more of a stereotype in mind – a big furry thing, really. But the fact that this wasn’t a typical leopard print coat is what caught my eye, and I loved it from the minute I tried it on.

It’s a very light, flat coat if that makes sense, so using it for minus temperatures is out of the question. Fortunately, the weather this past weekend was kind of mild and therefore just right to wear it for the first time (and I am praying the weather will stay more – not less – like this).

I love the collar and the black trimming… the style resembles a rain coat more than a typical faux-fur coat, and yet somehow it works. Plus, the buttons are just plain cute.

Nothing like a pair of decent sized pockets!

It turns out my friends are getting used (not too used, I hope) to seeing me in leopard print. Truth be told I can’t get enough of it, it’s pretty much spreading like a disease in my wardrobe so I might just have to do a post about all of my leopard-y things soon. That’s the end of my showing off for today, I need to do some serious de-stressing now. Hope you all have a great week.

Such a beautiful leopard coat, I really think I need one now! I really like the non-typical look too, I think it will be more of timeless piece that way!
