I have a soft spot for October, mainly because it’s my Birthday this month. And although the weather isn’t usually that great, this year I am consciously trying my best to keep wearing blazers for as long as I can – after all, today was surprisingly warm and sunny. Not that these pictures were taken today – these are from all the way back in August, when it was still (more or less) possible to walk around without any outerwear. I’m fairly sure that was the first time I wore this adorable dress from Primark, which I got just over two months ago but I think is still in stores. Swallow silhouettes were seen everywhere this summer, thanks to Miu Miu’s amazing Spring ’10 collection, so who can blame me for believing that this dress must have been inspired by that collection or at least by the highs-street’s swallow overdose? I initially refused to fall for it, as tempted as I was, but I had to give in when I laid eyes on this dress.
Oops, they seem to look more like crows than swallows, not quite as elegant but still just as effective…
I’m not really a fan of small bags since like most women I tend to carry around half my life with me, but sometimes it’s quite relaxing to use a small bag for change. This one is from Topshop, I’d like to think that Audrey Hepburn would approve…
Isn’t it strange how the most random things – such as a bottle of milk – can serve as great props? I was seriously considering calling this post ‘My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard…’
So cute!!!!
