July has been a reasonably good month so far – decent weather (apart from the last two days), an internship that’s quite different from what I’ve done before, and, most importantly, a few purchases here and there. I’ll be posting my latest guilty buys soon, although first I really, really wanted to share this beauty, even though it’s not mine sadly.
A friend of mine with very, very good taste is now the proud owner of this lovely Maison Martin Margiela clutch, which she got on sale. It’s probably not too clear in this picture (gotta be discreet when taking photographs in shopping centres), but the clutch comes in the shape and form of a parcel (it’s even got a postcode).
I can’t say Maison Martin Margiela is one of my favourite designers. He’s probably too intellectual for me – and I mean that in a good way, since I’m the kind of girl who goes for all things cute and girlie, and as of yet still cannot fully appreciate what such great designers like Martin Margiela have got to offer.
So nothing stops me from seeing how original, clever and simply cool some of his designs are, especially when it comes to accessories and jewellery. And this metallic pink clutch is high on the list. The idea is great and the outcome is even better – there’s nothing like a splash of pink for a little extra something. Now isn’t that the perfect evening clutch for long summer nights?
