Chapter 14: Socks and shoes

This was a look I’d been wanting to try for a while, and today I finally gave it a go. I never actually had to wear a uniform at school, so that’s probably why I didn’t worry too much about looking like a school girl when matching brogues and socks. Still, I found it quite fun and it made me feel super girlie – which was unexpected in a way since brogues are quite manly. I wouldn’t usually consider wearing brogues in the summer, but lately I’ve developed a “why not?” attitude towards everything. So I went on the lookout for a pair of light looking brogues, found just what I was looking for in River Island and matched them a pair of light pink K by Karl Lagerfeld shorts and, most importantly, my yellow knitted socks from Topshop. Nothing like being spot on with the sorbet colours trend this season, right?

YES to sorbet colors, all summer long.
I have similar brogues, from Zara… they seem a little masculine on the outside but I also feel very femenine with them on!
